Our mission is to manage and control declared weeds in the Pilbara using targeted, catchment-based strategies that maximize return on investment for stakeholders and ensure the sustainability of local ecosystems. The PMMC has traditionally worked with state and federal natural resource management programs to deliver research, on-ground and management outcomes for the Pilbara environment. Additionally, our broad partnerships with the pastoral community, local resource projects and national research organisation's ensure we work collaboratively with all land managers to achieve regional objectives. Our committee is actively involved with all land managers in the Pilbara, working across pastoral stations, resource tenements, Indigenous managed lands and Unallocated Crown Land.
